This stunning heart measures 35 mm and has been crafted to display the subtle pastel rainbow sheen that aura quartz is famed for. Rose Aura Quartz is a pink quartz that has been bonded with vaporised platinum, this process gives the crystal its iridescent sheen. This process of bonding vaporised platinum to the crystal permanently changes its and creates the aura quartz. When man and nature work together they create crystal alchemy and this is testament to that.
Making of an Aura Crystal:
The Rose Quartz is placed into a vacuum chamber and heated, a vapour containing precious metals (platinum in this instance) are added, which coats the crystal and its atoms bond to its surface. It’s this process that creates the magical aura coloured layer you can see.
Creating an Aura crystal takes skill and a crystal without fracture lines, this is why high-quality finished pieces are desirable and prized by their keepers.
