Thulite, also known as pink or red zoisite, is used in gemstone therapy to master challenges better. With the support of the mineral, it is easier to bite the bullet and to live out ones own wishes and fantasies.
The reddish color of the mineral is caused by manganese.
The mineral thulite was named after the London mineralogist Henry James Brooke in 1823. It was named after the legendary island of Thule; in the Gemanian world of legends the northern end of the world. The name was probably chosen because only a single occurrence of thulite in Norway was known at the beginning of the 19th century. The spellings Tulite, Thuilite or Thullite are therefore incorrect.
